St Martin's Introduces Mobile Phone Pouch Initiative

St Martin’s School has introduced a new mobile phone pouch system to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and engagement throughout the school day.

Led by Deputy Headteacher Mrs Georgina Tatman, the initiative has been introduced in response to growing national concerns around the impact of mobile phones and social media on young people. From June, students in Years 7–10 will secure their phones and smartwatches in locked pouches during the school day, with the scheme extending to Year 11 from September.

The initiative has received strong support from families and reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to creating a focused and positive learning environment for all pupils.
