Upper School at St Martin's perform Hairspray
In February, upper school pupils at St Martins' performed their production of Hairspray. This musical focuses on the theme of acceptance where outcasts come together to fight for what is right, which is a message that is still as important today as it was in the 60s, when the show is set.
The phenomenal cast was worth waiting for, and it was clear to see just how talented and professional the pupils were, as the show itself was filled with positivity and energy, including some exciting new faces who joined the cast for their first ever school production!
The success of the show would not have been possible without the many staff who supported, including: Mr Williams (Musical Director), Miss McLintock (vocal coach), Mrs Page (producer), Mrs Wilkinson (wardrobe), and Miss Elliott (Technician). A special thank you to Bethan Young (Year 13) in her role as Stage Manager, and to Jack Liddicott (Year 13) the lighting designer for his 10th school production.
As always, St Martin's School are very thankful for all parents/carers who have showed such great support, and to everyone who came to watch the production.
