"Every day is book day at Larchwood."

Steve Bowsher, headteacher at Larchwood Primary School, said:

“Every day is book day at Larchwood and everyday should always be book day. I was discussing World Book Day with someone who is writing an article for the local press this week and one of the first things I said was that one of the fundamental aims of our curriculum was to develop a love of reading.”

On World book day this year, Larchwood Primary celebrated a love of reading. As well as wearing costumes, hosting a door decorating competition and enjoying their themed ‘Bowsher Bars,' reading together and sharing a book is what the school celebrated by inviting parents and carers in to school to enjoy sharing a book with the pupils.
